Delete Your GuideLens Data

Request deletion of specific types of data without closing your account

How to Delete Your Data

  1. Enter your GuideLens account email address below
  2. Select which types of data you want to delete
  3. Optionally tell us why you're deleting your data
  4. Click "Delete Selected Data" to submit your request
  5. You'll receive a confirmation email within 30 days

Delete Local In-App Data

To delete data stored locally on your device:

Android:
  1. Open Settings → Apps → GuideLens
  2. Tap "Storage"
  3. Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
  4. Confirm the action
iOS:
  1. Open Settings → General → iPhone Storage
  2. Find and tap "GuideLens"
  3. Tap "Delete App"
  4. Reinstall from App Store if you want to keep using the app

Local data deleted: Saved spreadsheets, offline notes, cached study sessions, and app preferences

Types of Data

Select which types of data you want to delete from our servers:

Data Retention & Deletion

  • • Deleted Data: Permanently removed within 30 days
  • • Backup Data: Retained for up to 90 days in encrypted backups for disaster recovery
  • • Anonymized Analytics: Some aggregated, anonymized usage data may be kept for service improvement
  • • Legal Holds: Data may be retained longer if required by law or ongoing legal processes
